Makeup is my passion – but what makes it really special for me is that I get to see how happy I can help people be. I love to unlock someone’s natural beauty and make people feel their absolute best.
And I love the fact that a touch of glamour can be for the everyday as well as a special occasion. I’m thrilled when I achieve exactly the look that a client has struggled to find, and I’m equally excited in the knowledge that when my clients look beautiful they feel great too – careful, intelligently applied makeup by a professional is powerful and empowering.

Providing professional makeup and beauty therapies is exciting and satisfying, but the real reward is knowing I’ve made my client happy.

I’ve always loved makeup, but it took eight years working in a City bank before I decided to make makeup my profession. While still in the City, I started training in Beauty and Makeup and by 2008 had the qualifications to set up my own business. I launched for real in 2009 and within a short time was getting new business through recommendations by happy clients. I haven’t looked back since. A lot of my work is for brides and weddings, but I enjoy the variety of other commissions too and get a real buzz from my one-to-one makeup lessons.

Over time I pursued other training, including for facials and Swedish Massage, as well the Bridal Course at the Academy of Freelance Makeup. In 2019 I took a Portrait Photography Masterclass with the Kristina Gasperas Beauty Academy, focusing on makeup. As well as giving me yet another interest (I love to keep learning), this means I can quickly and easily show clients how they’ll look on camera - it’s subtly different to how we appear in a mirror and gives the bride a sneak preview before the wedding photographs.
